Fabulous vintage to antique candelabrum, gilt bronze with rouge marble inserts and rams’ heads and grape accents. The candelabrum stands on three button feet supported by a metal plate topped by rouge marble discs and bronze embellishments. The bronze pieces forming the column feature a foliate design surmounted by a marble orb and rams’ heads with looped chains. The foliate designs are repeated in the bobeches and moving upwards, a column with twist design is surmounted by a cluster of grapes and leaves. Overall height is 15.5″; the base, including feet, measures approx. 4.5″ in diameter; width is 6.5″. Weight before packing is just under 6 lbs. The 7/8″ sockets should accommodate standard tapers; candle adhesive may be required for stabilization. A beautifully crafted and elegant piece suitable for a variety of interior styles. Very good preowned and used condition with a hairline split on the bottom marble disc and a small colored0in chip, neither of which detracts–see photos.
