Fabulous vintage hammered brass footed bowl with rope-and-tassel handles and rope details around the rim. This is a good quality bowl, with substantial weight (2 lbs. 7 oz.) and structure. The shape is oval, and the rope/tassel detail on the handles forms loops on each side for added interest. Overall measurements are about 16″ handle to handle x 8″ across x 5.5″ to the tip of the handles. Foil sticker reads “Solid Brass, Made in India.” Great patina (will polish to a high shine if that look is preferred) and excellent preowned vintage condition. There are a few spots of oxidation, but nothing that detract. Would make a fantastic candle or unique centerpiece.
