Large antique bovine horn with braided animal gut strap for a touch of dark academia. This horn doesn’t appear to have ever been used for gunpowder (there is no cap or evidence of one ever having been present)–I’m not sure what its original purpose was. It’s very old and comes from a collector of hunting trophies and taxidermy. He had it displayed on a hall tree with deer antlers. Measured along the curve, it’s about 15″ long; in a straight line, it’s about 13″ long; the strap has a drop of about 18″. The wide end has several cracks; otherwise in good antique condition. Great addition to the masculine library, man cave or dark academia decor.
