I have paired this natural stone orb with a trumpet-style vase that was created by combining a piece of silver plate with the top portion of a sterling silver bride’s basket. The piece came from an estate and I’m offering it as found. The base is marked with the Forbes Silver Company logo which started in 1894 and was a division of the Meriden Britannia company, of Meriden, Connecticut. The logo was used until 1935. The top is pierced and crimped and features an embossed flower basket design. Remnants of the missing handle can be seen on the underside of the basket. I wasn’t able to find a mark on the top piece, but I was told it’s sterling silver. The orb has beautiful coloration: butterscotch with grey and white veining. The vase and orb together make a lovely pairing for shelf styling; very unique. See below for measurements and condition. $12 flat rate shipping for street addresses within contiguous United States.

CONDITION: Orb is in excellent used vintage condition; vase shows wear consistent with near-antique age: heavy tarnish and color variations on the base and stem (darker than the top); the top has some areas of darker tarnish and color variations-see photos.
