So much character! Originally the base of a pedestal organ/piano stool this rustic, aged piece would make a lovely plant stand in a cozy kitchen corner or could be used as a charming spot to keep a stack of coffee table books. Please note there is a hole in the center of the stool which is where the top piece of the stool would have been attached, this does not affect function in any way.
Piano stools were commonly used among the Victorian Era, up to the 1930s when the piano bench rose in popularity. During Victorian times, a stool allowed for a woman to be seated comfortably while wearing a dress with hoop and petticoat.
